Seriously Guy?
- Sometimes I feel kind of bad for guys because girls (usually of the single and bitter variety) tend to stereotype ALL men as jerks. Personally, I haven't given up hope in the opposite sex but it's hard to defend them when the act like complete buffoons. I recently met* someone who seemed like a pretty normal guy on paper and then the following text message conversation took place...
- Guy: Do you want to come over and watch a movie with me?
- Em: No.
- Guy: Why are you so lame?
- Em: I'm not lame and I'm also not 17 so no, I will not "come over and watch a movie" with you.
- Guy: Oh, then you can just come over.
- Em: You're a total idiot.
- Guy: So I take that as a no?
- Em: Did I not make that clear before?
- Guy: My roommate isn't home so let me know if you change your mind.
- Em: You're 33. You need to get your own apartment. And a life.
- ...45 minutes later...
- Guy: Are you still mad at me?
- Em: Never mad. Just think you're a creep. stop texting me.
- Guy: (said something I would never repeat)
- Em: Go Away.
- Guy: (again...I would never repeat)
- Em: I'm sad for you.
- Wow. With conversations like that? I just can't wait to jump back into the dating scene...
